As the eventing season draws to the close, Artemisians are beginning to think about projects to keep them busy during the long snowy nights of the winter. In an attempt to inspire as well as educate, the Shire of Stonegate brings you Fall Collegium 2019 (hurray)! There will be classes (yay), there will be games (yay), there will be competition (Wait what?). Yes, ‘tis true a special competition just for you …. And a few of your closest friends. This year, we are starting a semi-annual (we hope) tradition of a team competition. We invite all who are willing, brave and able to stay up long hours with little to no rest to compete in the…

Other Kingdoms have tried this (OUTLANDS) but not with quite as much pizzazz (ARTEMISIA)! The rules are as follows. Teams of 4-5 will gather Friday night to prepare to make an entire kit (or thereabouts) of garb. Artemisia being ever diverse in period and culture, is allowing two count them TWO categories. Pre 14th century & 14th century + later.
Teams will bring uncut fabric and supplies with them. Outlets, tables and chairs are available for those bringing machines. If special accom-modations are needed please contact the Event Steward or Competition Steward. Pizza / soda / water provided for Friday Night dinner and LOTS of Coffee for the weekend.
A prize will be awarded to each winning team in each category as well as HUGE amounts of bragging rights.

Site: First Congregational United Church of Christ, 309 N Garfield Ave., Pocatello, Idaho, 83204.
NOTE: Accessibility - there is a ramp allowing wheelchairs and walkers easy access to the upstairs of the church. There is no such ramp allowing accessibility to the bottom layer where at least half the classes are. If you are completely chair bound, PLEASE let me know which classes you aim to take as it MAY impact which classes are scheduled where.
Site Fees: Adult Event Registration $15; Adult Member Discount Event Registration: $10. Make checks payable to SCA Inc., Shire of Stonegate.
Kingdom Fund Raiser: $5 Potato Bar, bread, drink.
SHIRE Fundraiser: “snack shack” desserts, breads, bread mixes for take and bake, etc.
Parking: There are spots for 24 cars – two of which are handicap. There is ample road parking as well as parking in the Downers Funeral Home lot next door.

Directions: Site address is 309 N. Garfield Ave. Take your best route to Pocatello, Idaho.
From I-86 west: Take Hwy 30 headed south. Turn right onto E Gould St., then take a left onto N. Authur Ave. Take a right onto W Fremont Street and then a left onto Garfield Ave. The church will be on the right.
From I-15 headed north: Take the S 5th Avenue exit and turn left onto S 5th Ave. Turn left onto E Benton Street and then turn right onto S Garfield Ave. The church will be on the left.
From I-15 headed south: Take exit 69 onto E Clark St. Follow Clark St to its end (stay in the right lane) where it will force you to turn left onto N 1st Avenue and then a right onto Center Street under the railroad tracks. Go straight through two lights and then take a right onto N Garfiled Ave. The church will be on the left in two blocks.
