With cautious optimism we call all to meet under the banner of friendship in the illustrious
lands of the Golden Moose and celebrate the ending of plague mandates across the land while
simultaneously showing our marshal prowess to the raiding barbarians! In the time of our
forebearers such momentous occasions were marked with great pomp and circumstance, grand
tourneys of parades and chivalric deeds, to which we shall add our A&S displays, and bardic
showings. Come see our mighty warriors and artisans, bards and orators’ polishes, painted, and
bedeck in fashions of celebration.
Though the raids upon our shipments to and from our Eastern cousins’ harbors have lessened
during the preceding years as our baronies have joined forces against them, it is time again to
assemble upon the field of battle as both a warning to the swamp things and a show of
commitment to our treaties. Raptor War is that annual show of commitment and a time for
neighbors to congregate in the brotherhood. An opportunity to show that we are united even
as our enemies plot and scheme to divide us. All are encouraged to wear their finery as we
witness the skills our artisans have learned and cultivated during the long nights of isolation.
Join us in greeting long unvisited friends, meeting new ones, and cheering our warriors as they
display feats of heavy combat, rapier, and archery. It’s a day for games and dance, singing and
storytelling. The long winter has waned, and new life is upon us.
