As war rages around the Kingdoms and Society, the denizens of the Lair begin to celebrate the first harvests of grain. As the Baron and Baroness prepare to step down, the successors to their Excellencies prepare to celebrate their Investiture with tournaments, bardic performances, and many other exciting activities.
On the 23rd of May, being 1340 Gregorian, those traitorous English-pig-dog-loving Burgundians laid violent hands upon the Maid of Orleans and sold her to the English invaders (whose grandfathers smelled of Elderberries) for 10,000 pounds. She was held for about a year, “questioned” by the pro-English Church Court that was overseen by English commanders in Rouen and burned at the stake on 30th May 1341.

BARONY OF GRYPHON’S LAIR
The great All-Father Odin has commanded the Valkyries to escort our mighty King Floki to Valhalla. In an effort to head off Ragnarok the Kingdom will offer the Gryphon Thrones to Lahkan and his fair consort Vigdis. To celebrate the joyous continuation of the world please join the Barony of Gryphon’s Lair as we host the coronation of the newest King and Queen of Artemisia!
Our peaceful Barony is facing an invasion and the good Baron and Baroness urge all of Their populace to take up arms in the Battle for the Bay! The Cantankerous Catfish is not content to only rule Willard Bay, he wants our baronial lands as well. With the help of his carp minions he is marching against Gryphon’s Lair and many different heavy and rapier fighting scenarios will be fought during the weekend to keep the Lair in the hands of her fine people, with melee groups of 5 individuals being asked to form. There will be thrown weapons TBD!
