The Incipient Shire of Dragonmarch is proud to announce the return of the beloved Artemisian Games. The ancient and exciting event returns on the last weekend of July 2020 in the beautiful Flaming Gorge National Recreation area.
Heavy armor activities will include the amazing George and the Dragon tournament. Team up with your best friend to create a dragon and defeat the villainous George as he attempts to steal your consort.
Also, there will be a Gladiator Tournament. Sharpen all your gauntlet specific weapons. Be ready to dash to the weapons and make your selection. Make sure to keep the onlookers happy and engaged with your performance or risk having a tomato to the face.
This will be a 2-night camping event. Come Friday afternoon to set up and visit with old friends. Fighting and fun all day Saturday. Sunday is tear down.
Fresh drinking water is available on site. Campfires are allowed in designated Forest Service fire pits, as well as above ground fire pits, pending fire conditions.
Safety: Limited shade; hydration will be extremely important. This is a mountainous high elevation campground, encounters with local wildlife are possible.
Site: Green Dale Group Campground, Ashley National Forest, Forest Road 187, near Dutch John, Utah. Site opens at noon, July 24th and closes at noon, July 26th. This is a wet site.
Pets: Pets are welcome to responsible pet owners. We love all critters.
Registration: Adult Event Registration ages 16 years and older $25;
Adult Member Discount Event Registration $20.
Youth under 16 years old are guests of the Shire.
Day fee: $10. Family cap is $50.

From Vernal, Utah - take U.S. 191 north for about 40 miles.
From Manila, Utah - take Highway 44 for 28 miles. Turn left on U.S. 191 and travel approximately 2 miles north.
From Rock Springs, Wyoming - take I-80 west toward Green River, WY about 6 miles to the junction with U.S. 191/Flaming Gorge Road. Take U.S. 191 south for about 70 miles, passing through Dutch John.
