SEPTEMBER 10-13, 2020
SHIRE OF COTE DU CIEL
NOTICE: This event is subject to being canceled if, at the time the event is to be held, modern civil authorities have issued restrictive orders related to public gatherings pursuant to their COVID-19 mitigation efforts.
Summer may be socially distant, but September is harvest time, and that means war. We are planning a full slate of activities, fun, fighting, classes, shopping…and we might even work in a handfasting. Please join us for our annual rollicking good time in the mountains with the changing foliage as we celebrate the end of a very long season of being cooped up at home. We will be gathering at our traditional site in Mantua, Utah, so bring your armor, your musical instruments, and your bright cheery selves to Harvest War. Zucchinis optional.
Site: Box Elder Campground, Mantua, UT. Site opens 5 pm, Thursday, September 10th and closes at 11 am on Sunday, September 13th.
Registration: Adult Event Registration $25;
Adult Member Discount Event Registration $20.
Adult Saturday only $20; Adult Member Discount Saturday only $15.
Children 17 years and under are free.
Make checks payable to SCA Inc., Shire of Cote du Ciel.
Directions: From the west, take your best route to I-15. Take exit 362 (1100 S US 89/91), and turn east heading towards Mantua/Logan. After approximately 5 miles, take the exit to Box Elder Campground and follow the SCA signs. From the east, take US 89/91 to Mantua, Utah. Turn left at your first opportunity and then right onto S. Park Drive and follow the signs to the Box Elder Campground.
The site is large and offers ample tree shade and a refreshing stream for your enjoyment. No land reservations will be taken this year: it will be a first-come-first serve camping space event. Please monitor children and pets around water at all times. The campground has flush toilets and running water and is handicapped accessible. Sunshades are encouraged for enjoyment of the melee battles. Please be aware that the upper field is now in close proximity to an overnight mundane camping area and is now paradoxically the quiet area.
Fires will be in designated pits only and are subject to USFS fire restrictions. In the past, gas stoves and gas above-ground fire pits have been allowed so long there is a valve by which the device can be arrested. No tiki torches, no gas flaming torches, no wood or charcoal fueled above -ground fire pits, no charcoal grills, no, no, no, no, no, no. Please check the Harvest War FB page for additional restrictions if needed, depending on the severity of the fire season.
Children must be supervised. Pets are welcome but must be supervised and on a leash at all times. The site is wet.
