The time has come for Their Excellencies Malkin and Owen to take to the seas and leave the Barony in the trusted hands of the new Baron and Baroness. To honor this momentous occasion there will be tournaments, classes, food, fires, and fun! Please join the Barony of Gryphon’s Lair as we welcome our new Baronage. New champions are waiting to be recognized so bring your handmade items, your blades and your bows, your armor and axes, and try your luck at wearing the champion’s mantle. The new occupant(s) of the thrones of Gryphon’s Lair will be choosing new champions for heavy fighting, rapier fighting, thrown weapons, archery and arts and sciences. Do you have what it takes to bring glory to the Lair?

We’re celebrating 15 years of Gryphon’s Lair as a Barony, so there will be a multitude of activities to honor the Lair:

Are you a past Baronial champion? Join in the procession of the champions during evening court and welcome new members to your ranks.

Do you know the history of Gryphon’s Lair? Hear the story of our Barony from the people who helped make it happen. Pay special attention to the facts and win prizes by answering BGL trivia.

The “Blue Walk” will be happening, so wear your finest Gryphon’s Lair inspired garb and show off your finery during court.

The site is blessed with a bend of river brimming with fish, and we’ll be having a period fishing derby. Learn about different items that the period fisherman would have had in his kit and try to bring home the biggest trout. There will be a lunch fundraiser available for $5 and a chance drawing for a handmade breakdown table. Tickets are $5 each or 3 tickets for $10.
