The year is 1144… Civil war – unforgiving and cruel- rages in England.
King Stevan (HE Stephan) fights to retain his throne against the pretender the Empress
Maud (HE Amber). A fight which stretches to the furthest corners of the realm, ever to
the Barony of One Thousand Eyes!
A rapier tourney is planned to choose the Captain of the Musketeers to lead Empress
Maud’s (HE Amber’s) army. Plus, a heavy tourney to choose the captain of King
Steven’s (HE Stephan’s) army is also planned.
An extended potluck lunch, for donations, is planned to benefit the Uprising War Fund.
Uprising War Lost and Found items will also be auctioned off by Silent Auction.
Donations of SCA-related items will be accepted to add to the Silent Auction are
encouraged. There will be children’s activities and St. Patrick’s Word Search puzzle for
the adults. His Grace Alan Youngforest has planned an enlightening talk on the history
of King Stevan and Empress Maud’s war for the throne of England.
A potluck luncheon will be available, donations appreciated. Donations will go to the
Uprising War Fund. One Thousand Eyes potlucks are famed for a wide variety of
wonderful food, so plan on participating.
